As the 49th Annual Roslindale Parade rolled through the neighborhood, one familiar sound rose above the rest: the voice and energy of Smyly Sickwitit, Roslindale’s own son and a true hometown hero.

Washington Beech was filled with laughter, music, and community spirit as Smyly Sickwitit hosted the Back to School Back Pack Giveway BBQ. What unfolded was more than just an event—it was a reminder of the power of unity, generosity, and love for the neighborhood.

To be flooded means to be blessed with more than you could ever ask for. It’s the overflow of gratitude, talent, and opportunity that pours into every moment when you live with passion and purpose.

Smyly Sickwitit didn’t just rap that night—he wove a melody of belonging and purpose, one candy, one verse, one moment at a time. Driven by a simple truth: when we come together, when we uplift and stand firm for each other, we become the heartbeat of hope. Let’s honor his spirit by doing the same—because when one person rises, the entire community stands taller.

Thanks to Smyly Sickwitit, the Boston Police Area E, and countless community partners, National Night Out 2025 will be remembered as a night of unity, joy, and neighborhood pride.
