I recently returned to my alma mater—ITT Technical Institute, Boston South—to speak to a Strategies for the Technical Professional class. It was a full-circle moment to share what I’ve learned in the field and encourage students who are stepping into their own careers.
This opportunity felt like I was finally returning to my roots.
⸻
What I shared with students
• Analytical thinking: real examples of breaking down complex problems and communicating solutions.
• Networking that actually helps: how to build relationships that open doors (and how to keep doors open for others).
• Goal-setting you’ll stick to: setting outcomes, milestones, and feedback loops that make growth measurable.
During that time in my career, I was working as a Post Market Surveillance Specialist in the medical device industry, so we also talked about how quality systems and customer safety tie back to classroom fundamentals.
⸻
Highlights & recognition over the years

These acknowledgments from ITT Tech mean a lot to me—because they represent community, mentorship, and growth.
Certificate of Appreciation (June 28, 2016)
Holiday Inn & Conference Center, Dedham, MA — “For imparting valuable insights and inspirations to our graduates.”

Why this matters
Returning to campus reminded me that education is a relay—someone passed the baton to me, and now I’m passing it forward. If you’re a student or early-career professional: keep learning, keep connecting, and keep your goals visible.
⸻
Thank you
To the students and faculty who welcomed me back—thank you. You continue to motivate me to serve our community and invest in future talent.
